He gained fame primarily during his tenure with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he embodied the persona of a grand sumo wrestler. During his illustrious career, Yokozuna achieved remarkable milestones, becoming a two-time WWF Champion and a two-time Tag Team Champion, with one of his titles being won alongside Owen Hart. He also made history by winning the prestigious Royal Rumble in 1993, making him the first wrestler of Samoan heritage to capture the WWF Championship. Anoaʻi's significant victories included defeating legendary wrestlers Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan in back-to-back events at WrestleMania IX and the 1993 King of the Ring, respectively, solidifying his status in wrestling history.

In recognition of his contributions to the sport, Rodney Anoaʻi was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012, honoring his legacy and impact on professional wrestling. His character and achievements continue to resonate with fans and the wrestling community today.
