Oleh Drach
Oleh Tarasovich Drach, born on October 1, 1959, in the village of Vodyane in the Pustomyty district of the Lviv region, is a distinguished Ukrainian actor, director, and educator. He has been honored with the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine for his significant contributions to the arts.
Drach completed his education at the Kyiv State Theater Institute named after I.K. Karpenko-Karyi in 1981, where he studied under the guidance of notable instructors, including A. Y. Gashinsky. He is celebrated for co-founding the Lviv Theater named after Les Kurbas in 1987, which has become a prominent cultural institution.
In addition to his theatrical work, Oleh Drach serves as the head of the Department of Cultural Studies at the National Center for Theater Arts named after Les Kurbas. He also leads the Theater Laboratory "STUDIA A.K. T.," where he explores the intricacies of human creativity. His research focuses on the creative processes within individuals, and he conducts psychophysical training designed to enhance artistic expression and personal growth.
