Chen Hanwei embarked on his journey in the entertainment world as a finalist in the inaugural Star Search in 1988, Singapore's prestigious talent competition. Since that pivotal moment, he has evolved into a prominent figure in the industry, taking on leading roles in a wide array of television dramas and telemovies. His breakthrough role came in 1995 with the widely acclaimed series "The Morning Express," where he portrayed a compassionate teacher, a performance that garnered him significant recognition and led to an immediate sequel.
Over the years, Chen has showcased his versatility not only as an actor but also as a singer, contributing to the soundtrack of "Cupid Love" and recording multiple tracks for "The Morning Express" album series.
