Joe Travers
Joe Travers, a Grammy Award-winning drummer, has made his mark in the Los Angeles music scene over a span of twenty-five years. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1992, quickly securing a position with the band "Z," led by Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa, by March 1993. Throughout his dynamic career, Travers has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including iconic acts such as Duran Duran, Lisa Loeb, Billy Idol, Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes, Zappa Plays Zappa, and guitar virtuoso Eric Johnson.
Beyond his performance work, Joe serves as the "Vaultmeister" for the Zappa Family Trust, where he is entrusted with the crucial responsibility of archiving and safeguarding the legacy of the legendary Frank Zappa. In this role, he collaborates closely with the Trust to co-produce and oversee various projects that celebrate Zappa's groundbreaking contributions to music.
When he is not touring or working on archival projects, Travers remains active in the music community, performing with The Mike Keneally Band. His most recent endeavor includes an upcoming tour with renowned guitarist Joe Satriani, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished drummer in the industry.
