Terri Irwin
Terri Penelope Irwin, AM (née Raines), born on July 20, 1964, is a prominent naturalist and author originally from the United States, who has made Australia her home since her marriage to the late Steve Irwin in 1992. As the proprietor of Australia Zoo located in Beerwah, Queensland, Terri has dedicated her life to wildlife conservation and education.
Together with her husband, she gained international acclaim as a co-host of the hit television series *The Crocodile Hunter*, which showcased their adventurous and hands-on approach to nature. The show became a cultural phenomenon and was complemented by several spin-offs, including *Croc Files* and *The Crocodile Hunter Diaries*, further cementing their legacy in wildlife programming.
After Steve's untimely passing in 2006, Terri continued to champion the cause of wildlife conservation, expanding upon the work they began together. She has authored several books, sharing her experiences and insights about nature and conservation. In recognition of her contributions, she has been honored with the title of Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
