Sharmaine Ruffa Rama Gutierrez, widely known as Ruffa Gutierrez, was born on June 24, 1974. She is a prominent Filipina model, actress, and beauty queen who made her mark in the entertainment industry. In 1992, she was crowned Look of the Year-Philippines and gained further acclaim in 1993 when she won the title of Binibining Pilipinas World. Her remarkable performance at the Miss World 1993 pageant, held in Sun City, South Africa, not only earned her the title of Miss World Asia & Oceania but also secured her position as the second runner-up, just behind the winner, Lisa Hanna of Jamaica.
