Lata Sharma, an accomplished television and radio broadcaster from Bangor, has made significant contributions to the arts as an actress, singer, and writer. Her career is marked by a diverse range of projects, including notable works such as "Blue Lights," "Splendid Isolation" (in collaboration with BBC Northern Ireland and the Lyric Theatre Belfast), and "Give My Head Peace," showcasing her versatility and talent.
Lata’s artistic journey began in childhood, encouraged by her father, as she performed at various classical and folk music festivals across Northern Ireland. In 1983, she was awarded a scholarship to the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, which provided her with invaluable opportunities to hone her theatrical skills.
