Aja Frary

Aja Frary, hailing from Seattle, Washington, showcased her remarkable athletic talents from an early age, often outpacing her male peers during playground races. With a mother, Soun Frary, who was a ballerina, and a father, Lee Leavy, a California State High School Wrestling Champion, Aja was born into a family with a rich athletic heritage. Her prowess in sports flourished throughout her school years, culminating in her participation as a three-sport athlete in high school. This dedication earned her a full scholarship to San Diego State University, where she excelled as a Track and Field Heptathlete.

Aja's collegiate career was distinguished by significant achievements, including being named a Division 1 NCAA Bronze Medalist and receiving All-American honors by her senior year. In 2000, she gained national recognition as one of the youngest contenders at the Olympic Trials, finishing in 9th place. Following her college years, Aja was selected for the prestigious United States Olympic Training Center program, allowing her to train intensively while competing on both national and international stages.

However, an unfortunate injury in 2004 hindered her Olympic aspirations. During her recovery, a friend introduced her to the world of stunt work, leading her to her first role as a stunt performer in the 2006 film *American Gangster*. This opportunity propelled her career, establishing her as one of the most sought-after stuntwomen in the industry. In 2016, Aja achieved a significant milestone by becoming a member of the Stuntwomen's Association of Motion Picture, marking a highlight in her impressive career.
