Stephen Douglas McMichael, affectionately known as "Mongo," is a multifaceted figure in American sports, having made his mark as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL), a professional wrestler, commentator, and head coach. McMichael showcased his talent at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned All-American honors before embarking on a professional career. He played for the New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, and Green Bay Packers, achieving notable success with the Bears as they triumphed in Super Bowl XX in January 1986.

Transitioning from football to wrestling, McMichael gained fame in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he was an integral part of the iconic Four Horsemen faction. His prowess in the ring earned him the title of WCW United States Champion, solidifying his status in the wrestling world.

From 2007 to 2013, McMichael took on the role of head coach for the Chicago Slaughter in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL). In 2013, he ventured into politics, finishing as the runner-up in his bid for mayor of Romeoville, Illinois.
