Ashley Kilpatrick
Ashley Kilpatrick, born on August 15, 1989, in Nassau, Bahamas, was nurtured by parents who championed her artistic inclinations. During her high school years, she developed a passion for poetry and spoken word, performing at both school and church talent shows. Her involvement with Bahamas Faith Ministries allowed her to refine her acting skills, particularly during the annual Youth Alive conferences, where she took part in various stage plays. One of her early performances was as "Rare" in "The X-Factor," a production by Radel Parks, followed by her lead role as "Keisha" in "The Revelation," also directed by Parks.
To pursue her creative aspirations, Ashley enrolled in the College of The Bahamas to study Fine Arts, later relocating to Atlanta, GA, in 2009 to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta for Graphic Design. While studying, she participated in video assignments, voiced audio projects, and modeled for photography students, cultivating a diverse skill set. After graduating, she joined Georgia Public Broadcasting as a Graphic Designer, gaining valuable on-camera experience.
The death of her mother in 2014 became a turning point, igniting Ashley's determination to fully embrace her artistic journey. She returned to Atlanta, studying acting at The Alliance Theatre and adopting the mantra, "Whatever is happening to me is happening for me." Ashley has since appeared as an extra in productions like "The Bobby Brown Story" and "Vavavoom," and played "Tonya" in the web series "You Don't Know My Name." With her innate talent for storytelling and a commitment to continuous learning, Ashley Kilpatrick embodies the essence of her name, which means "life" or "tree of life."
