Jeannette "Jeany" Spark is a talented English actress celebrated for her compelling portrayal of Linda Wallander in the acclaimed British series *Wallander*. Her impressive body of work also includes notable performances in the comedy *Man Down* and the gripping drama *The Interceptor*.

Educated in English literature at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, Spark graduated with First-Class Honours in 2004. She further honed her acting skills at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, from which she graduated in 2007.

In 2008, Spark made her mark as Mercy Chant in the BBC’s adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s *Tess of the D’Urbervilles*. Her role as Linda Wallander, the daughter of the titular character, solidified her reputation in the industry. In 2011, she portrayed Joan Malin in the television film *Hattie*, followed by her memorable performance as Emma, the deputy headmistress, in the Channel 4 comedy *Man Down*, which ran for four successful seasons.

Spark took on the role of Detective Inspector Kate Gemmill in the 2015 BBC drama *The Interceptor*, and in 2016, she joined the cast of ITV’s *Jericho*. A highlight of her theatrical career came in 2017 when she played the lead in *Skylight* at Theatr Clwyd. She showcased her versatility in 2019 with her role as Katy Porlock in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s *Crooked Dances*. In 2018, she appeared as Captain Sandrine Shaw in the BBC Two miniseries *Collateral*, and in 2020, she starred as Kate in Channel 4's *I Am Hannah*, alongside Gemma Chan.
