Sun Zhenni

Sun Zhenni is a talented Chinese singer and actress, hailing from the Hongkou District of Shanghai. She has a diverse background, being of Han ethnicity and possessing one-quarter German-Jewish heritage through her paternal grandmother.

Sun's journey into the entertainment industry began when a friend introduced her to SNH48, the popular idol group. She successfully auditioned while attending the Shanghai Paddington Bi-Lingual School and became a trainee on January 18, 2016. Just a few weeks later, on March 3, she was promoted to Team HII. After a fruitful career with SNH48, she transitioned to acting and officially left the group on August 28, 2023, while continuing to be represented by STAR48.

In 2019, Sun Zhenni pursued her passion for acting by enrolling in drama school, while also preparing for the National College Entrance Exam. Her hard work paid off as she received acceptance offers from China’s top three drama schools: Beijing Film Academy, Central Drama Academy, and Shanghai Theatre Academy. Notably, she became the first member of SNH48 to achieve this milestone and ultimately chose to attend the Shanghai Theatre Academy, where she ranked fifth nationally. Through her talent and determination, Sun Zhenni continues to make a name for herself in the arts.
