Assad Zaman
Assad Zaman, an accomplished English actor, was born on May 9, 1990, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The son of Bangladeshi immigrants who arrived in the UK during the 1980s, Zaman developed a passion for performing arts early in life. He honed his craft at the Manchester School of Theatre, where he earned his degree in 2013.
Zaman has made a significant mark in both stage and screen acting. His London theatrical debut took place in 2014, and he has since been featured in several acclaimed productions, including "Behind the Beautiful Forevers," "White Teeth," and "A Doll's House." On television, he has gained recognition for his compelling performances in series such as "Apple Tree Yard" (2017) and "Hotel Portofino" (2022–2023). He is particularly noted for his portrayal of Armand in the contemporary adaptation of "Interview with the Vampire," which premiered in 2022.
