Dragan Bjelogrlić, born on October 10, 1963, stands as a prominent figure in Serbian cinema, excelling as an actor, director, and producer over a remarkable four-decade career. His journey began at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he honed his craft, making his on-screen debut at the young age of 15 in the film "Bosko Buha" (1978).

After graduating in 1989, Bjelogrlić quickly rose to fame, captivating audiences with his portrayal of Slobodan Popadić in the beloved television series "Better Life" (1987-1990). His film repertoire includes notable titles such as "The Black Bomber" (1992), "Full Moon over Belgrade" (1993), and the critically acclaimed "Pretty Village, Pretty Flame" (1996), contributing to his reputation as one of Serbia’s leading actors.

In 1994, he founded "COBRA FILM," a production company that has been instrumental in creating some of the region’s most celebrated theatrical productions and films. Transitioning into directing and producing, Bjelogrlić achieved significant acclaim with "Montevideo, God Bless You," which represented Serbia at the Oscars.

In recent years, he has made waves with the television series "Black Sun," which premiered its second season in 2020 and became the first Serbian show to air on Amazon Prime. He is also currently working on a film about the renowned singer Toma Zdravković, set to debut in 2021, alongside a major project titled "Guardians of the Formula," aimed at telling an emotional tale connecting Serbia and France.

Bjelogrlić is married to Maja, and they share two children, Mia and Aleksej. Additionally, he has contributed to the next generation of filmmakers by establishing a master class at Singidunum University’s Faculty for Media and Communications.
