Vignesh Shivan

Vignesh Shivan is a prominent Indian filmmaker, actor, and lyricist known for his contributions to Tamil cinema. His career has been marked by collaborations with well-known artists such as Silambarasan, Dhanush, and Anirudh Ravichander, alongside his work in producing independent music videos.

Shivan's journey in the film industry began with a short film that caught the attention of producers at Gemini Film Circuit, thanks in part to the musical score by Dharan. This led to a partnership with his childhood friend Silambarasan, culminating in the creation of his debut feature film, *Podaa Podi*, released in 2012.

His second venture, *Naanum Rowdydhaan* (2015), saw a series of changes in the cast and production team before settling on the talented Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara in lead roles, with Dhanush serving as the producer. The film, inspired by Shivan's own family experiences, premiered in October 2015 to widespread acclaim, further establishing his reputation in the industry.
