Hồng Ánh
Phạm Thị Hồng Ánh, born on August 28, 1977, is a distinguished Vietnamese actress, television presenter, and director, widely recognized for her contributions to the arts. Transitioning from a successful career in dance, she made her acting debut in television, gaining significant attention in 1999 with her lead role in "Cầu Thang Tối." Her performance in Nguyễn Thanh Vân’s "Đời Cát" (Life in the Sands) garnered her the Best Supporting Actress award at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival that same year, marking the beginning of her illustrious career.
Hồng Ánh's collaboration with director Nguyễn Thanh Vân continued to yield exceptional results, with standout performances in "Người đàn bà mộng du" (2003) and "Trái tim bé bỏng" (2008), both earning her accolades at the Vietnam Film Festival. Her portrayal of Hạnh in the 2007 film "Trăng nơi đáy giếng" (The Moon at the Bottom of the Well) is considered her most iconic role, earning her widespread acclaim and the prestigious Golden Kite Award for Best Actress in 2008.
In addition to her celebrated roles in independent films, Hồng Ánh has also appeared in popular box office successes and theatre productions. As the sole female member of the Golden Kite jury, she has participated as a judge in various local film festivals. Notably, in 2011, she was nominated for a position in the National Assembly, highlighting her influence beyond the entertainment industry.
