Adrian Țofei (pronounced Tsofei) is a distinguished Romanian filmmaker and actor, celebrated for his compelling contributions to the horror genre. His breakout feature, *Be My Cat: A Film for Anne*, has garnered attention as a cult classic, while his forthcoming project, *We Put the World to Sleep*, promises to further showcase his artistic vision.
*Be My Cat*, released in 2015, received widespread acclaim, with IndieWire hailing it as a “hidden gem” and a “chilling character study.” Blumhouse deemed it a “must-watch intelligent found footage film,” while Vulture recognized it as one of the "10 best found footage horror movies,” and Dread Central referred to it as “revolutionary and dangerous.” Țofei's multifaceted involvement in the film—acting, directing, producing, and writing—earned him the Best Actor award at the Nashville Film Festival and the title of Best Film at A Night of Horror in Sydney.
