Matt Porter is a versatile creative known for his work as a writer, director, and occasional actor. He gained recognition as the co-director, co-writer, and co-star of the Webby Award-winning web series NEW TIMERS, which aired on Comedy Central. His talent was spotlighted in the "New Faces: Creators" section at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival. Previously, Matt served as the Field Director for The Chris Gethard Show on TruTV, showcasing his adeptness in directing live content.

His impressive portfolio includes writing and directing for platforms such as Funny or Die, TBS, Adult Swim, MTV, and Sony. Collaborating with writer and cartoonist Charlie Hankin, he created the web series Good Cop Great Cop, which garnered attention at SXSW and was selected for the New York Television Festival. Additionally, his narrative short films have been featured in renowned festivals like Tribeca, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and Hollyshorts. His short film DAMAGE earned the award for Best Narrative Short at the Riverrun International Film Festival.

In 2016, he co-directed, co-wrote, and co-starred in his debut feature film 5 DOCTORS, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival and was later distributed by Gravitas Ventures. Currently, Matt is contributing his writing skills to Family Guy and an upcoming project for Peacock. He holds a degree from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2010.
