Villem Indrikson

Villem Indrikson, born on August 21, 1944, in Tallinn, Estonia, made significant contributions to the Estonian performing arts before his passing on March 2, 1996.

Indrikson completed his secondary education at Tallinn 4th Middle School in 1963. He pursued further studies in the construction field at the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute from 1964 to 1968, later earning a degree in leadership from Tallinn Pedagogical Institute in 1976. His diverse educational background enriched his artistic endeavors throughout his career.

Indrikson began his acting journey at the Rakvere Theater, where he performed from 1972 to 1973. He subsequently joined the Endla Theater, contributing his talents from 1973 until 1986. After a brief hiatus, he showcased his versatility at the Vanalinna Studio from 1988 to 1992, where his performances were well-received and established him as a respected figure in the theater community.

In addition to his acting career, Indrikson held significant administrative roles. He served as the director of Tallinn Film from 1986 to 1988, where he influenced the local film landscape, and later took on the role of director at ETV from 1989 until his death in 1996. Villem Indrikson's legacy continues to resonate in Estonian culture, highlighting his dedication to both performance and media.
