He made his official debut on June 28, 2017, under the label Amoeba Culture with his track "Identity." A.mond first gained significant recognition as a contestant on the reality show "High School Rapper" in 2017, showcasing his impressive lyrical skills and performance abilities. He returned for "High School Rapper Season 2" in 2018, further solidifying his reputation in the hip-hop community.

After his time on the show, A.mond signed with Amoeba Culture but later departed from the label due to health issues. Despite these challenges, he continued to explore various artistic avenues. In 2018, he showcased his versatility by appearing in the YouTube web drama "Top Management," where he played the character Irib, a member of the fictional boy group S.O.U.L.
