David Mann
David Anthony Mann Sr. (born August 7, 1966) is a multifaceted American actor and gospel singer renowned for his captivating performances in various Tyler Perry plays, such as *I Can Do Bad All By Myself*, *Madea's Family Reunion*, *Madea's Class Reunion*, *Meet the Browns*, *What's Done in the Dark*, and *Madea's Farewell Play*. He is best known for portraying Mr. Leroy Brown, the father of Madea's daughter Cora, a role famously played by his real-life wife, Tamela Mann. David reprised his character in several Tyler Perry films, including *Meet the Browns*, *Madea Goes to Jail*, *Madea's Big Happy Family*, and *A Madea Homecoming*, along with appearing in the TBS sitcom spinoff *Meet the Browns*. Together with Tamela, he also starred in the Bounce Network sitcom *Mann and Wife*. Additionally, David lends his voice to Mr. Nezzer in TBN's *The VeggieTales Show*.
Since their marriage in 1988, David and Tamela Mann have been a dynamic duo, having previously been part of Kirk Franklin's vocal ensemble, "The Family," before collaborating with Tyler Perry. In 2018, they showcased their musical chemistry by releasing a romantic soul album titled *Us Against the World*.
