Sigrid Göhler

Sigrid Göhler, a notable figure in German acting, honed her craft at the Babelsberg Film School before embarking on a diverse career across theaters in Brandenburg and Halle, as well as in DEFA films. By the late 1960s, she transitioned to Berlin, where she primarily engaged in freelance television and voice acting projects. Göhler rose to prominence in her role as Police Lieutenant Vera Arndt in the iconic crime series Polizeiruf 110, produced by East German television. Notably, she was among the first female detectives in German television history, starring in a remarkable 46 episodes from 1971 to 1983.

Throughout the 1980s, she continued her television work while also performing in theaters in Senftenberg and Schwedt. Eventually, she decided to step away from her acting career. However, in a nostalgic return, she made a special guest appearance in 2001 as Frau Raven in the Polizeiruf episode "Kurschatten," celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series' debut.

Sigrid Göhler currently resides in Berlin with her husband, actor Peter Reusse. Their family includes their son, Sebastian Reusse, who has also pursued a career in acting. Göhler's contributions to the arts have left a lasting impact on the German entertainment landscape.
