Tomoya Takashima

Tomoya Takashima (高嶋 友也), born on August 13, 1985, is a prominent anime director and the founding director of the animation studio Tomovies. Hailing from Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture, Takashima now resides in Tokyo, where he continues to make significant contributions to the animation industry.

After completing his studies at Tokyo Polytechnic University, Takashima began his journey in the world of independent animation in 2008 while still a student. His early passion for the craft led him to gain valuable experience as a designer and director at ILCA Co., Ltd., a well-known CG production company, where he honed his skills over a three-year period.

In 2014, driven by his vision and ambition, he founded Tomovies, a studio that has since gained recognition for its innovative storytelling and captivating animation style.
