Mark Mylod is a prominent English director and executive producer renowned for his contributions to both film and television. He embarked on his career in the entertainment industry by directing popular comedy programs, including Shooting Stars, The Fast Show, and The Royle Family. His work on these shows earned him significant recognition, culminating in two BAFTA TV Awards.

Mylod seamlessly transitioned into the realm of drama, directing acclaimed episodes of series such as Entourage, The Affair, Game of Thrones, and both versions of Shameless—British and American. His most notable achievement came from his role as an executive producer and director on HBO's critically acclaimed series Succession, which ran from 2018 to 2023. During this period, he directed 16 episodes and played a pivotal role in producing 37 episodes. His exceptional direction garnered him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, as well as a Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing in the same category.
