Louisa Johanna Theodora van Dort, known as Wieteke van Dort, was born on May 16, 1943, in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. With her rich Indo (Eurasian) heritage, she has made significant contributions to the Dutch entertainment industry as an actress, comedian, singer, writer, and artist. Her talents were formally recognized when she was appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau by Queen Beatrix on April 29, 1999.

Wieteke gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Tante Lien, a character she created for "The Late Late Lien Show," which aired during prime time in the Netherlands. This groundbreaking program was the first of its kind to highlight Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) culture, serving as a platform to introduce various Indo artists and music to a broader audience. The show ran for three successful seasons until its conclusion in 1988, yet Tante Lien remains an enduring cultural icon.

In recognition of her impactful work, Wieteke received the Silver Medal of Merit in 2007 from the Dutch State Secretary for Defence, further solidifying her legacy in the arts. Through her diverse talents and commitment to showcasing her cultural background, Wieteke van Dort has left an indelible mark on Dutch entertainment and continues to be celebrated for her contributions.
