Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody was a prominent English reality television figure, best known for her appearances on the popular show Big Brother. She first garnered public attention in 2002 during the third series of Channel 4's Big Brother, which catapulted her into stardom and led to a series of her own television programs as well as various product endorsements following her exit from the show.

In January 2007, Goody participated in the fifth season of Celebrity Big Brother, where she became embroiled in controversy due to accusations of racial bullying directed at Indian actress Shilpa Shetty. Following her eviction, Goody acknowledged her mistakes and issued several public apologies. However, this incident resulted in a decline in her popularity among viewers, as polls indicated her unpopularity in late 2007 and early 2008.

In August 2008, she appeared on the Indian version of Big Brother, known as Bigg Boss, but departed early upon receiving a diagnosis of cervical cancer. By February 2009, her condition had progressed to a terminal stage. Just days before her passing, she married Jack Tweed, a fellow contestant from Celebrity Big Brother, on February 22, 2009. Jade Goody passed away on March 22, 2009, at the young age of 27. In the years following her death, Sky Living aired five tribute programs celebrating her life, while the final episode of Big Brother on Channel 4 included a heartfelt tribute to her legacy, recognizing her as an iconic contestant. Additionally, she graced the cover of the last edition of News of the World in July 2011.
