Chris Squire

Christopher Russell Edward "Chris" Squire, born on March 4, 1948, is a celebrated English musician, primarily recognized for his role as the bass guitarist and backing vocalist in the iconic progressive rock band Yes. Squire holds the distinction of being the sole original member to feature on every album released by the group throughout its extensive career.

As a pioneering figure in the genre, Squire’s innovative bass playing and distinctive vocal harmonies contributed significantly to Yes’s unique sound, influencing countless musicians and bands. His work on classic albums such as "Fragile" (1971), "Close to the Edge" (1972), and "Going for the One" (1977) showcases his exceptional talent and creativity.

In addition to his contributions to Yes, Squire was involved in various side projects, including the formation of the supergroup XYZ alongside members of Led Zeppelin and Yes.
