Bala is a prominent Indian film actor renowned for his contributions to both Malayalam and Tamil cinema. He embarked on his cinematic journey with the Tamil film "Anbu" in 2003, gradually establishing himself as a talented actor in the Malayalam film industry.
Born into a family deeply entrenched in filmmaking, Bala's cinematic roots run deep. His grandfather owned Arunachala Studios, while his father, Jeyakumar, directed over 350 films and documentaries. His brother, Siva, has also carved a niche as a director and cinematographer, further enriching the family's legacy in film.
In 2014, Bala made a notable return to Tamil cinema by portraying one of Ajith Kumar's four brothers in the action film "Veeram." His close collaboration with Ajith during the production helped to create a strong on-screen dynamic, and he subsequently praised the star for his professionalism. Directed by his brother Siva, "Veeram" received both critical acclaim and commercial success.
Bala also ventured into directing with his 2012 Malayalam film "The Hit List," where he not only directed but also starred as the lead.
