Mark Evan Halperin, born on January 11, 1965, is a prominent American journalist, television personality, and commentator currently affiliated with the conservative network Newsmax TV. Prior to this role, Halperin held significant positions in the media landscape, serving as the political director for ABC News and editing the influential Washington, D.C. newsletter, The Note.

In 2010, he transitioned to MSNBC, where he became a senior political analyst and contributor, showcasing his insights on various political matters. Alongside fellow journalist John Heilemann, Halperin co-managed Bloomberg Politics, contributing to the platform's political discourse. The duo also co-authored the bestselling books "Game Change" and "Double Down: Game Change 2012," which explored pivotal moments in American politics. They co-hosted the show "With All Due Respect" on both MSNBC and Bloomberg, and together with Mark McKinnon, they produced and appeared in Showtime's "The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth," a documentary series that provided an in-depth look at the 2016 U.S. presidential election campaigns.

However, Halperin's career faced a significant setback in October 2017 when he was dismissed from Showtime Networks and NBC News following multiple allegations of sexual harassment and assault from his tenure at ABC News. Since 2020, he has made a comeback as a contributor on Newsmax TV, where he hosts the weekly Sunday program "Mark Halperin's Focus Group."
