Javier Molina, born in Quito, Ecuador in 1986, is a multifaceted engineer, actor, and media artist recognized for his innovative contributions in the realms of virtual reality, motion capture, interactive installations, performance art, and experimental film. He earned his degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Army Polytechnic School in Quito, laying the groundwork for his diverse career.
Relocating to New York City, Javier furthered his education at NYU School of Engineering while also honing his acting skills at Uta Hagen's HB Studio. His professional journey includes significant research at NYU MAGNET, where he explored the intricacies of VR and AR technologies, as well as teaching motion capture techniques for virtual reality applications. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electronic Arts at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he delves into the intersection of ritual performance and immersive media.
