Tất Bình, whose full name is Đặng Tất Bình, was born on August 16, 1949, in Hanoi, Vietnam. He is a prominent figure in the Vietnamese film industry, known for his roles as both an actor and director. Prior to his foray into cinema, Tất Bình honed his craft as a theater actor and voice artist.

His breakthrough came with his portrayal of Inspector Phương in the film "The Last Hope" (Hy vọng cuối cùng), directed by Trần Phương in 1981, which marked his entry into the film industry. Tất Bình later collaborated with Trần Phương again, co-directing the 1992 film "One Who Looks for a Forgotten Past" (Người đi tìm dĩ vãng). He showcased his directorial skills further with the television feature "The Notebook of Life" (Cuốn sổ ghi đời) in 1994.

In a significant milestone for Vietnamese cinema, Tất Bình directed "Moon on Foreign Land" (Trăng trên đất khách) in 1998, a Vietnamese-Russian co-production that highlighted the experiences of expatriates. His work continued to gain recognition with the release of "The Backstage Slap" (Cái tát sau cánh gà) in 2002, which was one of the two Vietnamese films featured at the 47th Asia-Pacific Film Festival.

To this day, Tất Bình remains active in both acting and directing, contributing to the vibrant landscape of Vietnamese cinema.
