Albert Reed Jr. was a multifaceted American actor and dedicated law enforcement officer, recognized particularly for his contributions to both fields. He gained fame in the 1970s through his memorable portrayal of Alderman Fred Davis in the beloved sitcom *Good Times*. Reed also showcased his versatility with a recurring role as Dr. Joshua Barnes in the children's adventure series *The Secret of Isis*. His acting repertoire included guest spots on iconic shows such as *The Jeffersons* and *Sanford & Son*. Notably, he made a brief appearance as Grady Wilson, a cousin of the main character Fred, in one episode of *Sanford & Son*, a role that would later be associated with actor Whitman Mayo.
