Rinio Dragasaki, born in 1980 in Greece, is a talented filmmaker renowned for her work in film, advertising, and television. She pursued her education in directing in Athens, followed by studies in documentary filmmaking in Barcelona. Throughout her career, Dragasaki has made significant contributions to the cinematic landscape, both as a writer and director, with four short films and a feature film to her credit.

One of her most acclaimed short films, “My Dad, Lenin and Freddy,” garnered attention at numerous international festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Sao Paulo, Chicago, and Edinburgh. It received critical acclaim, winning the Hellenic Film Academy's Best Short Film award in 2012, along with three accolades at the Drama Festival, including the prestigious Argyros Alexandros award. Additionally, the film aired on Canal+ in France and SBS in Australia.

Her next notable work, “The Courtyard,” premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the coveted Crystal Bear. This film also earned a nomination for Best Short Film at the Hellenic Film Academy in 2014 and was celebrated at various festivals, including Guanajuato and Dresden.

In 2014, Dragasaki was selected for the Sundance IF Istanbul Screenwriter’s Lab, where she developed her debut feature film, “Cosmic Candy.” This project premiered globally at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, in September 2019, marking a significant milestone in her filmmaking journey.
