Hailing from Greater Manchester, he embarked on his professional journey at the tender age of fourteen, securing his Equity card through a role as 'Alan Platt' in the iconic Granada Television series, 'Coronation Street.' This early success prompted him to refine his craft at Jepson College of Dance and Drama in Oldham, followed by rigorous training in weekly repertory at The Coliseum Theatre, also located in Oldham.
