Toby Foster
Toby Foster, born on August 13, 1969, is a versatile British entertainer known for his accomplishments as a comedian, actor, radio host, promoter, and festival organizer. He gained significant recognition through his enduring show on BBC Radio Sheffield, showcasing his unique comedic style and engaging personality.
Foster's early education took place in Rotherham, where he attended Barnburgh Junior School, Lacewood Primary, Dearneside Comprehensive, and Wath Comprehensive. His television career took off with a memorable role as Les Campbell in Channel 4's acclaimed series Phoenix Nights, where he was part of the fictional band Les Alanos. This collaboration with creator and star Peter Kay led to further opportunities, including appearances in That Peter Kay Thing and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere. Foster earned the nickname "One-Take" Toby from Kay, reflecting his impressive ability to deliver lines flawlessly.
In addition to his television work, Foster made a notable cameo as the "Northern Comic" in the 2007 Christmas Special of Extras, where he participated in a humorous take on Celebrity Big Brother alongside stars like Ricky Gervais and Lionel Blair.
In 2008, he contributed to the British comedy film Snappers, featuring a talented ensemble cast, although the film has yet to be released.
