Sha Baoliang, a celebrated Chinese singer and actor, was born in Beijing. His artistic journey began at just 8 years old when he enrolled in the Beijing Art School to study acrobatics. As a young performer, he gained recognition as a child star in an acrobatic troupe, securing the prestigious Gold Award at the French World Future Acrobatics Festival.

In 1993, Sha transitioned to the music industry as a backup dancer in local bars. A serendipitous moment occurred when he filled in for a missing singer and performed "Change All Mistakes," which marked the beginning of his singing career. He soon collaborated with the boy band "The Moderns," contributing to both songwriting and performances. In 1995, he founded the Desert Music Studio, further establishing his presence in the music scene.

Sha gained widespread fame in 2003 with his rendition of "Dark Fragrance," the theme song for the popular television drama "The Story of a Noble Family." His remarkable talent was recognized internationally when he won the esteemed "Golden Stag Award" at the Romania International Pop Music Festival, representing China's Ministry of Culture.

In 2004, he made his television acting debut in "Happy 2004." Sha was previously married to actress Zhu Na, with whom he shares a daughter. Following their divorce in 2020, he publicly revealed his relationship with actress-singer Dai Xiao Ying on August 2, 2022, whom he met during the filming of "Antique Bureau Midgame."
