She first gained national attention in 2015 when she made a significant mark by reaching the final of the BDO Women's World Darts Championship, ultimately finishing as the runner-up to Lisa Ashton.
Sherrock's career reached new heights in December 2019, when she made history at the PDC World Championships by becoming the first woman to win a match at the prestigious tournament. She triumphed over Ted Evetts with a close score of 3–2 in the first round, followed by another impressive victory against Mensur Suljović, where she won 3–1 in the second round.
