John Kricfalusi
Michael John Kricfalusi, widely recognized as John K., was born on September 9, 1955, in Canada. He is an influential animator, voice actor, and the creative force behind Nickelodeon's iconic animated series, The Ren & Stimpy Show. Kricfalusi also founded the animation studio Spümcø, which has been instrumental in shaping modern animation.
In 1992, Kricfalusi's tenure with Nickelodeon ended when he was dismissed from The Ren & Stimpy Show. Undeterred, he shifted his focus to directing and producing animated commercials and music videos, collaborating with notable artists including the avant-garde singer Björk and the comedic duo Tenacious D.
In the late 1990s, Kricfalusi was a pioneer in digital animation, creating groundbreaking online cartoons such as The Goddamn George Liquor Program and Weekend Pussy Hunt, which were some of the first animated series designed specifically for the Internet. He later returned to television with The Ripping Friends, showcasing his unique style and humor. Kricfalusi also introduced an adult-oriented spin-off of his earlier work with Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon."
