Norm Prescott

Norman Prescott, born on January 31, 1927, in the Dorchester area of Boston, was a prominent figure in the animation industry as the co-founder and executive producer of Filmation Associates. Alongside seasoned animator Lou Scheimer, Prescott established the studio that would become known for its innovative contributions to animated television. Originally named Norman Pransky, his early life was shaped by his father Edward, who worked as a tailor and shirt-maker.

Throughout his career, Prescott played a pivotal role in producing a variety of beloved animated series, including "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids," "The Archies," and "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe." Filmation was distinguished for its unique storytelling and character development, setting a new standard in animated entertainment during the 1970s and 1980s.

Under Prescott's leadership, Filmation not only created iconic shows but also pioneered techniques in animation production.
