Nigel Timothy Godrich, born on February 28, 1971, is a renowned English record producer, recording engineer, and musician, celebrated for his influential work in the music industry. He has collaborated with a wide array of artists, including prominent names like Radiohead, Travis, Beck, Air, Paul McCartney, U2, R.E.M., Pavement, Roger Waters, Arcade Fire, and Idles.

Godrich began his journey in music as a house engineer at RAK Studios in London, where he honed his skills under the guidance of producer John Leckie. His partnership with Radiohead began while he was engineering their acclaimed second album, The Bends, released in 1995. The band's decision to enlist him as the producer for their groundbreaking album OK Computer in 1997 marked a significant turning point in his career, garnering critical acclaim and establishing him as a sought-after producer. Since then, he has been at the helm of all Radiohead’s albums and has collaborated on various projects with band members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood. Notably, he won a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Non-Classical Album for Radiohead's Hail to the Thief in 2003.

In addition to his production work, Godrich is a member of the musical ensembles Atoms for Peace, alongside Yorke, and Ultraísta. He also created the innovative music web series From the Basement in 2006, and, in collaboration with Beck, he composed the soundtrack for the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
