Yūki Meguro
Yūki Meguro is a multifaceted Japanese entertainer known for his work as an actor, singer, and television host. His journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age when he took on roles as a child actor in various films. His early breakout came with a leading role in Toei's inaugural TV drama, "風小僧," which helped to establish his presence in the industry. However, Meguro shifted his focus to education, enrolling at Doshisha Junior High School. His academic pursuits led him to study abroad, where he attended high schools in Hawaii and St. Louis before briefly enrolling in the Department of Drama at Boston University and later at the University of Southern California, though he ultimately did not complete his studies.
Upon returning to Japan, Meguro made a significant mark with his performance in the film "Murder in the Deep" (1969), which launched his professional acting career. Throughout the years, he has appeared in a vast array of films and television dramas, spanning both historical and modern genres. Notably, he received an Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the acclaimed miniseries "Shōgun" (1980, USA).
