Petra Černocká
Petra Černocká, born on November 24, 1949, in Prague, is a distinguished Czech singer and actress renowned for her versatile talents. She is the sister of disc jockey Pavel Černocký and the cousin of the celebrated actor Vlastimil Brodský.
Petra honed her musical abilities by studying opera singing and piano at a conservatory. Following her education, she began her career with the musical ensemble The Shepherds, led by Petr Hannig. Her theatrical journey took off at the Semafor Theater, where she starred in memorable productions such as "Besídka v rašeliništi," authored by the iconic duo Šimkov and Grossmann, and later in "Jonáš a dr. Mattresses" and "Witches" under the direction of Suchý.
One of her most iconic roles was that of the enchanting young witch Saxana in the beloved film "Saxana," penned by Miloš Macourek and directed by Václav Vorlíček. This role cemented her status in Czech cinema, and she later reprised it in the 2011 sequel "Saxan and the Lexicon of Magic."
As a singer, Černocká enjoyed a successful partnership with the Cardinals, led by Zdeněk Merta, and currently performs alongside her husband, Jiří Pracný. Since January 2014, she has been the host of the radio program "Twelve in Twelve" on Dvojka Czech Radio. Additionally, her daughter, Barbora Vaculíková, has made a name for herself as a member of the band Yellow Sisters.
Notably, on March 25, 1999, Petra won a significant legal battle against Czech Television, which had depicted her as a porn actress without her consent, leading to an official apology and financial compensation.
