Jo Yu-ri

Jo Yu-ri, a versatile South Korean actress and singer born on October 22, 2001, in Busan, has made significant strides in the entertainment industry. She first gained public attention as a contestant on Mnet's reality show *Idol School* in July 2017, where she secured a 15th place finish. However, it was her participation in *Produce 48* in 2018 that catapulted her to fame; she finished third and subsequently joined the popular girl group IZ*ONE.

Debuting on October 29, 2018, with their album *Color*Iz*, Jo Yu-ri quickly became known for her vocal talent. In February 2020, she showcased her songwriting abilities by co-writing the song "Someday," featured on IZ*ONE's first Korean studio album *Bloom*Iz*. The group's contract concluded on April 29, 2021, marking the end of a successful run.

In addition to her music career, Jo Yu-ri made her acting debut in the web series *Mimicus* in 2022 and had a notable guest role in the series *Work Later, Drink Now*. Her performance garnered praise for its authenticity. Recently, in June 2023, it was announced that she would join the cast of Netflix's highly anticipated *Squid Game* for its second season, portraying the character Kim Jun-hee (No. 222).
