Nathan Xia
Nathan Xia is a talented Chinese American actor, filmmaker, and alternative artist hailing from San Diego, California. He first garnered attention at the young age of 19 with his viral film *GOODNIGHT AMERICA*, featuring Xolo Maridueña and Jacob Bertrand, which attracted over 1.8 million views across its film and trailer. The following year, at just 20, he produced *OH, MIGHTY OCEAN!*, starring Jack Griffo and Peyton List. This film quickly caught the interest of major distributors, including Omeleto, ShortsTV, and Gonella Productions.
Xia's creative journey continued with his debut micro-budget feature, *CHASING SUNDANCE*, which he both wrote and directed. This film was acquired by Freestyle Digital Media and became available on major platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and Tubi. As he progressed as a filmmaker, Xia's work evolved, reflecting deeper themes such as mental health, the Asian American experience, and coming-of-age narratives, infused with humor and personal insight.
His film *ADAM'S SONG* gained recognition at numerous film festivals, winning awards at the Nashville Film Festival and the Ouray International Film Festival, before being picked up for online distribution by Wong Fu Productions and PBS. Following that, *AYO, CHECK UP!*, a basketball-themed dramedy, premiered at LeBron James’ Uninterrupted Film Festival. His most recent film, *FLAVOR OF THE MONTH*, is set to start its festival journey at the Asian American International Film Festival and HollyShorts Film Festival.
