Andreas Georgiou

Andreas Georgiou, born on April 18, 1982, in London, is a prominent Greek Cypriot director and actor who has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry in Cyprus and Greece. He first gained recognition by winning the television talent competition "Dream Show – The Theater," which marked his entry into the performing arts. At the age of six, he moved to Cyprus with his family, where he grew up alongside his older sister, Xenia, and two brothers, Christopher and Raphael-Antonis.

Georgiou has built a successful career in both acting and directing, becoming a well-known figure in the Cypriot and Greek entertainment scenes. His notable directorial works include "Waltz with 12 Gods" and "The 31 Roads." From 2013 to 2017, he directed and starred in the popular ANT1 series "Brusko," alongside a talented cast that included Apostolis Totsikas and Eleni Vaitsou. He also directed for Rois Mat during the 2014-2015 season.

His acting credits feature productions such as "White Balloons," "On a Red Background," and "Allou Ximeromenoi," as well as a guest appearance in "Oniropida." Between 2017 and 2019, he directed and starred in the highly-rated ALPHA drama series "The Tattoo." From 2019 to 2021, he played a leading role in the SKAI series "8 Words." Currently, he is directing "The Land of Olives" for Mega and participated in the presentation of "The X Factor" in 2022. His upcoming series "Famagusta," set to air in 2024, will explore the historical context of the besieged city of Famagusta following the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
