Jared Corey Kushner, born on January 10, 1981, is a prominent American investor, real estate developer, and media publisher, best known for his role as a senior advisor to his father-in-law, Donald Trump, during his presidency. He is the eldest son of Charles Kushner, a former real estate magnate and a son of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Kushner’s marriage to Ivanka Trump, who also served as an advisor in the Trump administration, further solidified his influential position.

Following his father's legal troubles and subsequent imprisonment for fraud, Kushner took the helm of Kushner Companies, marking the start of his business career. He later expanded his portfolio by acquiring Observer Media, which publishes the New York Observer, and co-founding Cadre, a digital platform for real estate investments.

In the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, Kushner was instrumental in shaping Trump’s digital media strategy. His appointment as a senior White House advisor on January 9, 2017, drew scrutiny due to perceived conflicts of interest as he balanced business engagements with governmental responsibilities. Despite challenges, including delays in obtaining Top Secret Security clearance, Kushner played a pivotal role in significant policies, including the FIRST STEP Act, a criminal justice reform initiative signed into law in 2018.

Kushner also authored a controversial peace proposal for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, unveiled in January 2020, which received criticism for its pro-Israel stance. Additionally, he was involved in the administration's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing advice that initially downplayed the virus's severity and contributing to a flawed Oval Office address on the matter.
