Jan Mikael Håfström, born on July 1, 1960, is a prominent Swedish director and screenwriter renowned for his impactful contributions to cinema. After honing his craft at film schools in Stockholm and New York, Håfström began his career as an assistant director for SVT 1, Sweden's national television channel, while simultaneously developing his skills as a screenwriter.
