Steven Randall "Randy" Jackson, born on October 29, 1961, in Gary, Indiana, is a distinguished American musician, singer-songwriter, and dancer. As the youngest brother in the iconic Jackson family, he holds a unique place in music history, particularly known for his role in the family band, the Jacksons. Randy, affectionately called "Little Randy," is the eighth child in a family renowned for its musical legacy.

Randy's musical journey began at a young age, as he was only two years old when the Jackson 5 was formed. Although not an original member, he showcased his musical talents, mastering various instruments, particularly the congas and keyboards. He first performed with the Jackson 5 in 1971 during a charity show and officially joined the group in 1975 after they transitioned from Motown to CBS Records. His collaboration with Michael Jackson led to the creation of the chart-topping hit "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)."

In March 1980, Randy faced a life-altering car accident but remarkably recovered, gaining media attention for his resilience. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous projects, including Michael Jackson’s acclaimed album Off the Wall and the Jacksons' Destiny World Tour. He also participated in the historic "We Are The World" initiative alongside his siblings and other music legends.

Although he was not included in the original induction of the Jackson 5 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, Randy remains an influential figure in the music industry, continuing to collaborate with family members and contribute to their legacy.
