Clive Myer

Clive Myer, an innovative filmmaker hailing from Southport, England, has made significant contributions to the world of cinema since his graduation from the Royal College of Art in 1974. He established Eclectic Films, a production company that reflects his unique artistic vision. Throughout his illustrious career, Myer has held several prominent academic positions, including serving as the director of the International Film School Wales and leading the Film Academy at the University of Glamorgan. He was also a co-director at the Skillset Screen Academy Wales, nurturing the next generation of filmmakers.

In 2012, Myer expanded his influence in the film industry through the publication of his book, *Critical Cinema: Beyond the Theory of Practice*, released by Wallflower Press. This work delves into the complexities of cinematic artistry and has been well-received in academic circles.

Myer’s personal life is intertwined with his professional journey; he met his wife, Lynda Bennett, during his tenure as a film lecturer at Goldsmiths College in London in 1980. Together, they have raised two accomplished children: their daughter, Dorothea, is an actress at the Shakespeare Tobacco Factory in Bristol, while their son, George, contributes to the industry through his work with Vertigo Films.
