Saida Ahmed
Saida Ahmed is a talented actress, poet, and published writer, known for her powerful performances and advocacy for representation in the arts. A black mixed-race woman living with Cerebral Palsy, Saida holds a BA in Inclusive Theatre, which complements her commitment to inclusivity in the performing arts.
In 2020, she garnered critical acclaim as a nominee for the Stage Debut Award for her portrayal of the title character in "Little Miss Burden," a production written by Matilda Ibini and directed by Debbie Hannan at the Bunker Theatre. Saida's impressive body of work includes notable appearances in "Brassic" and "Unprecedented – The Unexpected Expert," where she shared the screen with renowned actors like Golda Rosheuvel and Lucianne McEvoy.
Her contributions extend to the Graeae Theatre Company, where she participated in "The Gift," directed by Cheryl Martin, and showcased her talent in the Crips Without Constraints YouTube series. Saida also featured in the audio play "Don’t Spill The Tea" on Northern Stage's YouTube, alongside Tanya Loretta Dee and Zainab Hasan.
Further expanding her repertoire, Saida has performed in "Notes to The Forgotten She-Wolves" at The Globe, "Soul Food," and the comedic short "Head Over Wheels." Recently, she took on a lead role in the BBC's "Jerk," appeared as a guest in Sky's "Brassic," and starred in the Film4 short film "Mo <3 Kyra," solidifying her status as a rising star in the industry.
